The Belly Of The Beast consists of Kevin Kinane On Chapman Stick, Harmonica and Vocals, Ken Hume on Guitar and Kyle Goon rounds out The Belly on Drums. Sometimes on bigger stages, Douglas Bellen joins on Keyboards and Flugelhorn to make it a four piece. Carli Marshall jumps on board occasionally on Saxophone and then we are five. Freebee the dog brings it to six but she’s not on the payroll! On smaller stages Slim Belly can be seen as a duo with Kevin and Kyle. Formed in June of 2023, Slim Belly Blues Band brings a fresh new energy to the ever burgeoning ‘Burque Music Scene!

This dynamic duo also performs straight up Latin Style Jazz improvisation with no help from machines and manages to sound like a full band!
Formed back in 2013, Let It Grow has grown into one of New Mexico’s premier Grateful Dead Tribute Bands. Featuring Lonn Calanca on Guitar & Vocals, David Hotkamp on Mandolin/Guitar and Vocals, Tony Orant on Keyboards and Vocals and Kelly Wilson on bass, Kevin has been driving the band from his drum throne with his hybrid Drums/Percussion set up and unyielding energy. Kevin also steps up to Sing and play Harmonica on The Pig Pen tunes while Dave Holtkamp jumps on drums. Known for their long improvisational passages, Let It Grow always delivers a unique and polished show.
Comprised of five players that have all been locally nominated “best of” at their respective instruments, Carli’s Angels brings a blend of World Beat, Americana and Funk originals, cool covers and lots of improvised dance jams. Driven by the Songs and Guitar of Chuck Hawley, the Angels are rounded out by Tony Orant on Keyboards, Douglas Bellen on Bass and on Saxophone, the leader and true heart and soul of the band, Carli “Diamond” Marshall!
A super group made up of local musicians including Tony Orant, Rachel Ross and Chuck Hawley, this ten piece super group keeps the dance floor hopping with their original take on The Music of The Talking Heads. With so much diverse talent, you never know who is going to sing the next song. Kevin even steps out from the percussion to sing a couple of tunes with this dynamic and versatile ensemble.
Since 1995, Kevin has put on an annual show compiled of rotating local stars. It’s 1977 for one night of non stop disco, funk improvisation with each member trying to outdo their costume from the previous year! The audience dresses for excess too for a magical and hilarious night of glam funk madness! Some Improvised lyrics have turned into staple songs from the Blister cannon such as “Ham Samich” and “I slept with my monkey last night”. Hasn’t been a show since Covid but the demand is there so keep an eye out for Disco Jesus, MC Tick Boy and the rest of The Blisters!
